Payroll Analyst II

Please contact Nate Edmiston if you’re interested in the position! 586-710-7983 nedmiston@alinestaffing.com Experience and Skillset: • 3+ years overall Workday experience. • 1+ years of Workday business process & configuration responsibility and Workday reporting experience. • Strong analytic, problem solving, consultancy and communication skills. • Knowledge of requirement gathering techniques, project management, and HRIS systems development methodologies. • Robust analytical skills; knowledge of configuration, testing and implementation techniques. • Strong working knowledge of Excel. • Critical thinker with exceptional ability to model business processes and identify and resolve gaps. Major Responsibilities: • Review payroll business requirements for Configurations, reporting and Integration related business needs by collaborating with functional process owners and technical teams, and translate those into simplified and organized processes with respective documentation • Execute assigned E2E Test Scenarios and work with Functional Leads to confirm successful execution • Perform SIT testing with third-party systems to validate expected request/response results based on the approved integration specifications • Support with preparation and execution of UAT following SIT completion • Support UAT testers by addressing functional questions and supporting test management activities in respective system (e.g., raising defects) • May have responsibility in understanding loading data into the system including configuring and running EIB’s and other related operations. Spotlight Notes: Strong in excel is required Implementation experience would be a plus WD is not as heavy, great if they have it, but is more testing and data conversion toward the project Testing experience of 3 years would be adequate Day to day tasks: Will have implementation team that has been outsourced and working on one side and Allergan, as well as with Angela’s team, a lot of data conversion testing, to be sure it is updated and validated to be sure it is catching any issues for correction that is needed. Generally, time frame is short, someone who can validate conversions quickly and catch those one offs. Use them to test and prepare integrations to be created. Project based to integrate payroll systems from Allergan to (company). Bringing and converting that information is where they will be assisting. What sort of testing would they be performing? Test environment, being sure the information is validated, being sure any errors are picked up, resolving errors before going forward. How important is the EIB Upload experience? Would be great to have, generally with their implementation and the vendor being used, they have a tool that will load the information into WD, it is more for them. Really strong Excel skills are important. Must be able to maneuver in Excel proficiently. Someone who is organized, able to notice when something is off, not a specific match.
