Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Payroll and Benefits Administrator needed for wonderful manufacturing organization in South Jersey, New Jersey Payroll and Benefits Administrator
– to be in charge of the daily operations and being the front-line person assisting employees with their questions about all aspects of payroll and benefits.

The position is part of the HR team, and interacts with employees at all levels throughout the organization.

Payroll Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll using UKG payroll processing software while ensuring accuracy
– implementation for early 2022 but currently using a Workforce Ready/Kronos platform) for payroll processing Perform administrative duties related to the processing of payroll, including employee changes, terminations, verifying employment history, reporting, unemployment processing, filing and detailed record keeping Review and post bi-weekly journal entries for payroll and monthly accruals Assist employees with questions and changes regarding timecards, deductions, exemption and benefits Process and reconcile bi-weekly funding of 401(k), FSA providers and other benefit providers Ensure company compliance based on knowledge of state payroll laws Support the Workers Compensation and 401(k) audits Work with vendors and cross-functional partners Prepare statistical reports and summaries from the HRIS system involving payroll and benefits information Assist in Onboarding and New Hire Orientation Complete other projects as assigned Benefits Conduct new employee benefit orientation Enroll new hires into benefit program Benefit open enrollment including communications with employees and tracking changes Process and administer all leave of absence requests including FMLA, short-term disability and voluntary leaves.

Responsible for all benefit invoice reconciliation QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience processing payroll and benefits in a multi-state environment and/or combination of required education and experience Experience with software for payroll, benefits, time and attendance, HRIS, and self-service systems (experience with UKG/UltiPro strongly desired) Exercise high attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality Strong communication skills; verbally and written Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team Proven record to adapt to changing priorities and meeting strict deadlines Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc.
