Payroll Clerk – KE

This is a Contract position in Baton Rouge, LA posted November 22, 2021.

Payroll Specialist This position is responsible for compiling and recording employee time and payroll data and processing semimonthly transfer of correct payroll data to ADP.

The Payroll Specialist supports the Payroll Manager for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and executing HR/Payroll systems and activities for internal employees.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities : Verify and enter payroll from timesheets Maintain employee payroll files Review timesheet data searching for errors or Calculate employee federal and state income, social security taxes, unemployment, and workers compensation payments Record changes to employees’ pay status, tax deductions, and withholdings Review, analyze and verify payroll reports for accuracy Reviews audit reports for accuracy of payroll data Prepare and record manual checks as needed Maintain control of company payroll files with strict confidentiality Special projects as requested by management Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree 1-2 of payroll administration experience Previous use of ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Strong attention to detail Ability to keep maintain strict confidentiality Strong organizational skills Ability to identify critical issues We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
