Payroll / HR Generalist

This is a Full-time position in Plano, TX posted November 25, 2021.

SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for supporting the enterprise with Payroll, Benefits and HR administration.

Responsible for all payroll related functions, processing, and compliance.

In addition, performs Human Resource and Benefit duties and is the backup to Director of HR.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
HR Degree or Certification (example: FPP, SHRM-CP) preferred
4 + years previous Payroll and HR experience required
ADP Work Force Now (WFN) Payroll, Time & Attendance & HRIS experience preferred
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Strong understanding of Payroll processes and procedures
Advanced knowledge of Payroll regulations and compliance
Basic Human Resource Employment law and Benefit compliance
Exercises independent judgment and a sense of urgency
Flexible in a changing environment
Self-directed management of workload with ability to meet tight deadlines and competing demands
Ability to maintain confidentiality while using tact and discretion when dealing with information
Ability to multi-task and support multiple customers effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent critical thinking, consultative, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical, data entry and research skills
Computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Complete responsibility for the Payroll function and processing of biweekly payroll, including commissions
All data entry into the HRIS system, such as new hires, terms, changes, leaves, etc.
Responsible for overall integrity of HRIS system, includes HR, Payroll, Benefits and Time and Attendance
Responsible for determining best practices and automating processes when possible
New hire orientation and boarding, including E-Verify
Administers garnishments, workers compensation claims, processing of terminations
Timely filing of confidential HR, Benefits and Payroll documents, ensuring accuracy of all personnel records
Miscellaneous employee relations: company functions, bulletin boards, newsletter, service awards, etc.
Ad-hoc reports using ADP (WFN) reporting and Excel
Back up for the Director of Human Resources
OTHER DUTIES:
Assist in facilitating safety compliance, including training, meetings and recordkeeping
Employment verifications
Other duties as assigned by Director
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to efficiently use a personal computer equipped with standard keyboard and mouse
Ability to communicate in English to locate, read and report information and communicates with employees
Bilingual a plus
