Payroll Implementation Team Lead


This is a Full-time position in Denver, CO posted November 22, 2021.

As a leader on Gusto’s Payroll Onboarding team, you’ll be responsible for setting the team up for success as they implement customers with their payroll while providing a delightful, world class customer experience.

The Payroll Onboarding team, called Payroll Transfers internally, is passionate about using innovative technology and service to elevate the payroll transfer and onboarding of small business owners and their employees to the Gusto platform.

Each team member is a true owner and makes a tremendous impact every single day.

We are looking to invite a high energy, results-oriented, inspirational Implementation leader with proven ability to work well and influence cross-functionally to scale our Payroll Transfers teams.

  • Inspire your team to do the best work of their life on a daily basis
  • Manage metrics to measure the growth and performance of the team, and provide reports to internal stakeholders
  • Empower team members with a focus on personal and professional development while managing Gusto business needs
  • Scale the Implementation org by increasing team efficiency and working cross functionally with product and engineering teams
  • Constantly analyze, refine, and iterate on internal processes to make them simpler and more efficient
  • Lead and facilitate presentations to discuss team-wide topics, gather feedback, or update stakeholders on projects
  • Conduct performance reviews, set clear expectations, and empower your team on an individual basis

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 1
    – 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years of operations experience in payroll, operations, or a related customer experience organization
  • Passionate about reducing operational inefficiencies and pain points
  • The ability to use data to influence change in processes and product
  • The ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $66,500
– $117,000 in Denver & most remote locations.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
