Payroll Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted November 26, 2021.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Payroll Specialist is responsible to support the payroll functions of the company by managing the company’s payroll vendors and implementing processes and procedures to efficiently capture necessary employee data to ensure employees are paid accurately, consistently and timely.

Specialist will ensure that the company is accurately collecting and reporting the appropriate deductions and remitting proceeds to the appropriate agencies.

The Specialist will ensure company is compliant with all applicable rules, regulations, legislative actions, and requirements in every jurisdiction assigned.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Company expert tasked with collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with company’s employment tax filings and managing payroll vendors for efficiency and accuracy.

* Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Create a process for special pays and identify ways to limit special pays wherever possible.
Point of contact for all payroll audit activities.
Identify, vet and recommend appropriate vendors to provide complete, efficient, accurate payroll services.
Ensure that garnishments are handled effectively as well as all employee deductions for benefits, deferrals, taxes etc.
Provide year-end W-2 services as required.
Allow for and educate employees on non-resident workday recording and reporting.
Support the various compensation program payments and withholdings as required.
Support regional payrolls as assigned.

May include various regions around the globe.
Manage the company’s timekeeping system and train employees and managers on proper use.
Manage payroll controls and update as needed.
Continuous data audits to ensure accuracy and clean data.
Support projects as necessary, including but not limited to Ad Hoc Payroll Reports and Metrics
Work with and manage outside vendors as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (Required/Preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree required – Human Resources or Business Administration
3-5 plus years payroll experience, required
Experience with ADP/Workforce Now, preferred
Experience with other payroll applications, Excel, HRIS applications, preferred
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
