Compensation: $28.50 to $33.00 hourly

Accountemps is seeking a Payroll Clerk, who will have the opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing team! The tasks in this role will include supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. A company that is considered an industry leader has an opening for a Payroll Clerk. – Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

– Administer and distribute reports as instructed

– Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

– Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

– Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

– Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

– Build and run custom reports

Job Requirements:
– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

– Proficiency in semi-Monthly Payrolls

– Demonstrated knowledge of bi-Monthly Payroll

– Adeptness in benefits payroll

– Automated Payroll experience

– Time Keeping experience

– Earlier work involving Local Payroll Tax

– General familiarity with Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

– Practical knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll

– Background working with HRIS Payroll System

– Multistate Payroll experience preferred

– Previous experience working with Multistate Payroll

– Comprehensive knowledge of ADP Workforce Now

– HR Payroll System experience highly preferred

– Good understanding of Multi-state Payroll

– Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

– Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

– Skilled in Payroll software

– Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

– Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

– Previous payroll experience
