(PRA) is seeking a full-time to provide management-level support across multiple federally and private foundation funded projects, collectively designed to expand access to community-based behavioral health and support services for adults diagnosed with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders at all points of contact within the criminal justice system.

The ideal candidate for this position will have some background and knowledge of mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder treatment and programming and/or criminal justice system processes, practices, and policies, along with associated policy and systems-level issues for this population.

At minimum, applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.A leader in the behavioral health and human services field for over 30 years, PRA is a women-owned small business funded by federal and state agencies, national organizations, and foundations.

PRA conducts research and evaluation; provides technical assistance and training; and plans and facilitates major conferences, meetings, and other knowledge-transfer activities in the behavioral health field.

PRA is known for its expertise on behavioral health issues related to juvenile and criminal justice; services for children, adolescents, and their families; recovery supports;service members and veterans; homelessness and housing; and violence.The successful candidate for this position will function as an integral part of a team that provides technical assistance and support to leadership and professionals working in the fields of behavioral health and criminal justice.

Depending on the circumstances of the successful applicant, this position may be based either in PRA’s offices in Delmar, NY (currently virtual for all staff) or remotely, subject to PRA’s remote employee/tele-work policy.Specific responsibilities will include:* Project coordination and task management* Budgeting, facilitating subcontract and consulting agreements, tracking and coordinating associated invoices* Staff supervision (primarily of junior-level staff) and coordination of tasks and duties among this group* Assisting with proposal development in response to funding opportunities* Some technical writing* Supporting the use of multi-media techniques and innovative technology to deliver training and technical assistance virtually* Supporting meeting planning, facilitation, and logistics* Assisting with the development and maintenance of relationships with funders, partner organizations, and other high-level stakeholders in the fieldQualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in related field* Background in criminal justice field/policy highly preferred* Familiarity/experience with mental and substance use disorder treatment and policy, particularly as related to justice-involved populations, is highly preferred* Previous project management experience is desired, with experience overseeing multiple tasks/priorities* Experience with staff supervision and a strong desire to mentor junior-level staff* Experience with meeting planning/facilitation and use of innovative media/technology desired* Excellent writing and oral communication skills required, experience with technical writing for professional audiences is preferred* Experience managing government contracts and/or developing/managing development of proposals in response to funding opportunities is desired* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work within timelines and to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment* Some travel may be required (post-pandemic)To be considered for this position, all interested candidates must complete a brief, required survey at https://pra.Typeform.Com/to/ATyH1UXd and send a cover letter (indicating position title) and resumeviaemail(preferred)to jobs@prainc.comorto Policy Research Associates,345 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY 12054,orfax to 518-439-7612 by February 12, 2021.
