The primary role of the PSS Recruiter isto develop a strong working relationship with prospective students and familiesand serve as their key contact throughout the enrollment process. ThisRecruiter will assist in the transition of students to the appropriate academicunit once a program of study interest has been determined.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the Director of Prospective Student Services in overall team strategy.Conduct presentations and present informationto prospective students at high schools, CareerTechs, businesses, college fairs and other activities/events as assigned.Represent University at College & CareerFairs; Represent University at special events.Develop relationships with high school counselors,educators and others to develop a referral network to access students.Present scholarships at high schoolgraduations.Acquire data from prospective students.Identify and actively recruit minorityapplicants.Identify and actively recruit militarypersonnel.Initiate the Application for Admission.Schedule personal tours for prospectivestudents.Understand and use various software anddatabases, according to applicable practices and guidelines share in trainingand documentation and stay current with practices, to facilitate thefollowing: contact/communication,tracking activities, document/data tracking, record updates, applicationmovement, evaluations, decision-rendering, communications, recruitment efforts,event and tour support, status/progress reporting and monitoring, and more. Assist with tours of Campus/Academic Units.Inform and assist prospective students toappropriate offices for completion of enrollment process.Establish personal follow up communicationwith prospective students-tailored through Slate.Coordinate and serve as primary contact forCollege & Career Fairs.Assist Alliance Coordinator with CooperativeAlliance enrollment as needed.Collaborate with numerous on and off campusconstituents, campus leadership and departments, and enrollment colleagues tofacilitate responsibilities, activities, and functions and to maximizeeffectiveness, enhance and launch programs and initiatives, and promote sharedsuccess.Other duties as assigned.Please upload cover letter, resume, and list of references for full consideration.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.Minimum of two years related work experience in higher education or similar environment. Two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.Demonstrated knowledge of veteran affairs/services.Experience giving formal presentations and public speaking. Must be able to effectively contribute in a dynamic, team environment.A positive “can-do” attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor should be modeled at all times. Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.Must have a willingness to continually self-initiate learning to remain current in expertise. Should be able to quickly grasp and apply training in learning new skills and methods.Must be able to interact effectively with members of student support units and contribute in a dynamic team environment that adheres to process-oriented, results driven strategies. Must be customer service driven with ability to work and respond effectively to diverse audiences of internal and external clients. Must possess strong organizational skills as well as a demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment. Must be able to develop and deliver oral presentations and written materials for a variety of audiences and multiple venues.Must possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to include verbal interaction and group presentation; able to interact effectively with students of all ages, Career Technology counselors and instructors, as well as employers in the industries served by the assigned Division/program.Must be able to continually incorporate feedback, ideas, and requests into the recruitment process. Valid Oklahoma driver’s license. Ability to work some evenings and weekends. A flexible work schedule may be required occasionally to meet client demands and special programming needs.Travel will be required.Normal office physical environment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
