Healthcare facilities in rural and remote areas often have medical staff shortages.

We use our unique experience with rural medicine to staff these facilities with the right temporary medical providers, so that they can continue providing excellent healthcare. A little info about Wilderness Medical Staffing…Wilderness Medical Staffing (WMS) is a locum tenens (temporary placement) medical staffing company that specializes in staffing top-quality medical practitioners in positions at rural and remote healthcare facilities.

We started our company almost 9 years ago by staffing one remote Alaskan clinic site with one medical provider.

Since that time, WMS has grown exponentially and we now staff clinic and hospital sites across the entirety of Alaska, Montana, and Washington.

We continue to build relationships through hard work, personal engagement, and honesty.

Because we engage in these sound practices on a daily basis, the demand for our services continues to grow.

Now we are looking for the newest member of the Wilderness Medical Staffing team!

As a Recruiter, we want someone who is excited to actively recruit excellent, experienced, and motivated Advanced Practice Providers and Physicians.

To this end, we want someone who can truly represent Wilderness Medical Staffing in our mission to provide excellence in locum tenens medical care in any location, under any circumstances! This position is critical to the success of our organization.

Working closely with members of the recruiting and staffing departments, you will focus on these main outcomes:You are responsible for growing our database by identifying and recruiting “A-Player” medical providersEstablish and maintain relationships with prospective and current medical providersSupport the staffing team by effectively communicating which providers are available, interested, and qualifiedIt is your responsibility to contribute to the overall strategic plan for our recruiting department, which syncs with our other departmentsHelp develop effective and efficient systems to streamline the recruiting process The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:Strong work ethic – You must be a Go-Getter!Smart – both intellectually and when dealing with peopleSuper Personable and ProfessionalExtreme level of organization, both professionally and personallyProblem solverStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenNetworks with others by building true relationshipsDrivenEthical – We believe character matters.

Required:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityMust have excellent computer skills and experienceProficient in Microsoft SuiteExcellent typing skillsThe ability to troubleshoot when issues arrive Preferred:Experience in the healthcare recruiting or staffing industry Experience working with computer databases Experience in the healthcare field – any medical knowledge is great!Experience keeping regular and detailed documentation Other requirements:Must be able to work and keep normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM).

Compensation:Pay: Great base salary plus performance-based incentivesBenefits: Package that includes health insurance and retirement plan w/ 3% match
