Homestead Health Care is hiring a dynamic and innovative Corporate Recruiter and Sourcer. We are looking for someone with experience obtaining leads from various methods, including but not limited to; social media, electronic postings, email, cold-calling, recruitment events, employee referral program and postings at schools and universities. Experience with full cycle recruiting including interviewing is required. Building and maintaining an excellent relationship with hiring managers and providing a highly professional and excellent candidate experience will be an important aspect of the position. A background in health care is a plus. We have been in business for over 30 years managing senior living facilities in Michigan and staffing private duty cases.


  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, consulting with department managers, negotiating job offers, extending job offers, new hire on-boarding and conducting background checks
  • Increase social media presence, posting positions and sourcing candidates
  • Screens resumes and selects qualified candidates. Conducts pre-screens and in-persons interviews with candidates
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions as well as other hiring and selection materials
  • Schedules qualified candidates for orientation and validates provided references
  • Collects identification, licensure and certifications. Verifies that required documentation is up to date. Ensures onboarding documents are correctly filled out and signed by the applicant
  • Meets with executive directors to define candidate selection criteria
  • Partners with local nursing assistant programs and universities to build talent pool
  • Develops and manages strategies to increase company recognition and shorten the recruitment process
  • Builds job descriptions to attract top talent
  • Performs advanced sourcing which includes social media, Boolean searches, internet and data base mining
  • Maintains data and generates reports to track effectiveness of recruitment efforts. Analyzes data to spot trends and make recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Provides feedback to the company regarding competitor activity and other relevant recruiting information
  • Oversee internal and external communication, making sure that our company maintains a positive reputation (for example on Glassdoor, LinkedIn and other social media sites)
  • Organizes hiring events and participates in job fairs to network with potential candidates
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned


  • Experience as an In-house Recruiter
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong interviewing skills
  • Experience with social media recruiting
  • Experience sourcing talent and driving applications through phone calls
  • Ability to stay in close contact with facilities on their hiring needs
  • Excellent customer service skills are required. Must possess superb problem solving and multi-tasking skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent computer skills required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications
