This is a Contract position in Lees Summit, MO posted November 21, 2021.

This role acts a trusted talent advisor and employment brand advocate, while managing the full lifecycle of the recruitment process. Ensures open positions are filled with qualified job applicants by sourcing, evaluating and screening potential hires, while managing an efficient interview and hiring process. This role works within our Workday recruiting system to support the recruiting and hiring process and is expected to stay abreast and adopt regular system enhancements.

This role will establish and maintain positive relationships with various internal stakeholders, vendors, referring agencies and develop industry contacts with other HR professionals and area employers.


  • Partner with hiring managers as their talent advisor to understand the business, review, analyze and clarify job specifications, behaviors and skills required for open positions.
  • Research, evaluate, and deliver innovative and creative sourcing strategies to create a pipeline of diverse, high caliber talent for the organization. Uses social media, job boards, internet sourcing, and other creative means to source candidates for open jobs. Sponsors and attends career fairs, and other networking and recruiting events. Documents interactions, outreach, and screening results as well as staffing metrics.
  • Prepares or approves job listings and employment advertisements for job openings, reviews applications and resumes and interviews internal and external candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for interviews for the hiring manager or panel. Maintains accurate records for all applicants.
  • Identifies and maintains pre-employment testing materials. Oversees testing of qualified candidates, analyzes results, and provides guidance to hiring managers.
  • Partners with compensation and hiring managers to evaluate internal and external equity as part of the offer process.  Makes offers of employment and coordinates pre-employment drug testing. Notifies candidates regarding non-selection.
  • Participate and partner with HR peers in the onboarding of new employees to support a positive experience for both the new hire and hiring manager.
  • Serves as liaison between department managers and temporary staffing agencies to evaluate and coordinate temporary staffing needs.
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with various stakeholders of the leadership team and community agencies ensuring a positive recruiting experience.
  • Trains and guides hiring managers on appropriate recruitment and legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.
  • Partners with and provides guidance to Human Resources Representatives to ensure a seamless recruiting and hiring process and experience. 
  • Partners with the Employee Relations team ensuring the execution of company policies and programs, pertaining to recruitment, adhere to state and federal regulatory laws.
  • Responsible for input, tracking and accuracy of data in the Workday system. Analyzes and generates ad-hoc and special reports.
  • Participates or may lead Talent Acquisition or Human Resources initiatives, projects and programs to support team, division and company goals.


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
  • Requires three years of professional recruiting experience.  Prior experience managing high volume hiring functions is a plus.
  • Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience.
  • Requires strong working knowledge of an HRIS, applicant tracking system, and PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to consult with multi-leveled employees, staffing agencies, and the general public; and to interview job applicants and compose employment ads, reports, and business correspondence.
  • Workday ATS experience preferred.
  • Proven ability in sourcing Healthcare and IT top talent is preferred.
