Recruiting Assistant


This is a Contract position in Middle Amana, IA posted October 18, 2020.

We are currently seeking a Recruiting Administrative Assistant for Whirlpool in Amana, IA. As our next Recruiting Administrative Assistant at Whirlpool you will assist in the hiring of employees who help build, manufacture, and assemble appliances from countertop blenders to washers and dryers for the world’s leading major home appliance company and a well-known and respected 100+-year-old brand. The recruiting assistant will support one or multiple plants to help communicate with candidates including but not limited to scheduling interviews, drug tests or other tasks within the recruiting process. They will take day to day direction from Sr HR Specialists and report to the HR Operations Sr Manager Responsibilities: •Screening resumes/applications based on very specific guidelines to determine identify qualified candidates •Scheduling interviews, drug screens and other hiring process communication duties as assigned •Schedule candidates for New Hire orientation using a scripted process • Maintains records on recruiting activities as required. Approximately 75% of time will be spent calling or emailing candidates, 25% doing simplistic sourcing and screening •Other duties as required Must Have Skills: •High School Diploma or equivalent •Associate’s degree preferred, but not required •1 year of recruiting, administrative/office management or call center experience •Proficient in MS Office; Google tools preferred •Prior experience with job boards or recruiting software a plus •Excellent communication skills •Effective listening skills •Ability to multitask •Target driven This position is expected to be filled very quickly!
