Recruiting Manager

This is a Contract position in Lahaina, HI posted January 15, 2020.

The Recruiting Manager delivers full life-cycle recruitment by attracting, identifying, evaluating, interviewing, and hiring top level candidates, both from within and outside the time share industry, with involvement of the appropriate Sales and/or Marketing site leaders, through the use of both traditional and innovative methods of locating said candidates.
  • Partners with hiring managers and other relevant stakeholders to assess current and forecasted hiring needs, the scope of each individual position, soft requirements, and culture alignment necessities.
  • Consistently communicates with hiring managers, Human Resource partners, Recruiting leadership including Staffing Director and Recruiting Director, and other stakeholders as appropriate on pipeline development, interview progression, and new hire offer acceptance.
  • Schedules and conducts site visits frequently to meet hiring managers, understand the environment, and ensure a strong and continued partnership.
  • Provides a high level of internal customer service by responding to hiring manager inquiries timely and professionally while keeping them updated on the recruitment process.
  • Conducts a variety of sourcing techniques including, but not limited to, job board postings, social media marketing, resume mining, targeted search methods as well as in-person networking in the community.
  • Continually expands sourcing network by leveraging and engaging on a daily basis with active and passive talent organically and by marketing job postings on platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and other social sources.
  • Acts as a champion for our employment brand across the organization by creating opportunities to engage current team members to learn how to best promote the Company as an exciting place to work and to utilize team members as talent and recruitment advocates.
  • Promotes the employee referral program by engaging with existing team members and following up timely on all referrals.
  • Frequently assesses the productivity and effectiveness of various sourcing methods and adapts strategies as necessary.
  • Analyzes exit interview information and trends and provide feedback as needed to Staffing Director and Recruiting Director as well as appropriate Sales and Marketing leadership.
  • Utilizes behavioral interviewing techniques to screen and interview prospective candidates.
  • Engages with Sales and Marketing leaders to forecast tour flow and associated staffing needs 30, 60, and 90 days in advance.
  • Coordinates and schedules prospective candidates for local interviews with hiring managers, or other Sales and/or Marketing leaders, if needed and when appropriate.
  • Ensures all candidates are compliant including having appropriately e-signed their applications and ensuring all supporting documentation is included in the candidate file including prescreen notes and the interview evaluation.
  • Extends offers of employment and guide new hires through the pre-employment and onboarding processes.
  • Attends and assists in the execution of in-house career nights and external job fairs including promoting the Diamond brand, screening candidates, inputting their information into the Candidate Relationship Manager (CRM) or equivalent system, and building a relationship in an effort to drive in qualified talent.
  • Develops and nurtures talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Follows standard operating procedures and processes in the appropriate and efficient use of the Applicant Tracking System and other relevant software.
  • Consistently and successfully meets key performance indicator targets which may include, but is not limited to, applicant engagement, time to fill, interview presentation ratios, compliance, filling training classes on a monthly or as needed basis, and results of Recruiter surveys.
  • Ensures full compliance to Company standards, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations surrounding employment and the recruiting process.
  • Participates in collaborative team efforts which include goals of process improvement, sharing best practices, and new and creative ideas for employment branding and other recruiting strategies.
  • Identifies potential sources of talent, including outside the time share industry, to expand the available and targeted applicant pool.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • A minimum two (2) years of experience in the recruiting field required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.


  • Driver’s Licenses (non-commercial) – must be state-specific.
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Proven abilities using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or CRM or similar system.
  • Proficiency in advanced search techniques and methodologies and with a variety of social media and other recruitment outlets.
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices and employment law that impacts the recruiting function.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understands how to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
  • Ability to interpret and create spreadsheets.
