Job Summary (Purpose):

The recruiting manager provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to regional recruiters who provide recruiting support to hiring managers across several states.  Responsible for building and executing a national recruitment strategy and while developing the AmeriGas brand for external hires.  Will act as the primary recruiter for the AmeriGas sales organization. 

Key Characteristics:

•    Expert level knowledge leading full lifecycle recruiting in a decentralized environment for positions with a national scope
•    Ability to use innovative sourcing techniques to prepare distinct and effective recruiting approaches to different markets
•    Experienced relationship builder, will be able to collaborate with field leadership team to understand recruiting needs, initiatives, and challenges

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Manages vendor contracts and national recruiting efforts within budget
•    Responsible for the consistent design, creation and maintenance of ads & recruitment collateral
•    Expert in the latest recruitment methods
•    Supports field management with ongoing recruitment training for hiring managers
•    Responsible for building effective and creative recruitment strategies for each region; coordinates all national level initiatives.
•    Seeks new and sometimes non-traditional strategies and programs to attract candidates
•    Tracks recruitment results of various vendors/methods to ensure we have the proper tools
•    Builds the AmeriGas brand as an “employer of choice” both in and out of the propane industry
•    Maintains “Recruitment Central” with the most up to date information 
•    Tracks job aging; troubleshoots and inserts expertise into difficult searches
•    Coordinates executive search firms and placement agencies when needed
•    Visits colleges and universities, job fairs, and related functions as part of the organization’s recruiting efforts
•    Act as an advocate for the SuccessFactors ATS to the field organization and will be considered an expert on all facets of the system with the ability to leverage it to streamline all recruitment and hiring practices
•    Manages the seasonal workforce recruitment campaign and retention process
•    Adheres to fair employment laws and practices

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•    Knowledge of employment, recruitment, affirmative action and government compliance
•    Strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to advocate for the company with job seekers, create ad copy and recruitment collateral and interact with internal management
•    Strong presentation and organization skills
•    Basic analytical skills; the ability to track recruitment activity through reports and troubleshoot difficult searches

Education and Experience Required:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
•    4-6 years recruitment experience
