Regional Recruiting Manager

Brown Trucking

This is a Full-time position in Charlotte, NC posted November 21, 2021.

Position Overview:

The Regional Recruiting Manager is responsible for working with Brown Trucking Company Management in maintaining and achieving set goals for the recruitment of Commercial Vehicle Operators (CVO’s).

This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success and develop traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as develop new creative recruiting ideas to attract CVOs.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for recruiting CVOs to achieve set goals determined by assigned terminals and territories and will efficiently and effectively fill all open positions.
Will participate wherever needed to recruit for special projects and new terminal startups.
Develop and execute recruiting plans.
Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
Responsible for advertising open positions in all facets of advertisement for CDL recruitment.
Ensure DOT and Company compliance of the hiring of CDL applicants.
Work with Safety Department for hiring criteria and approvals of CVOs.
Complete the hiring process for CVOs from start to finish.
Perform additional related duties and assignments as directed by management.
Required Skills:
2 Year College degree or 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Knowledge of the transportation industry.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Federal HOS, Safety, and Regulatory issues in transportation.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Computer proficiency.
Ability to handle high stress situations efficiently
Work closely with other departments (Operations, Sales, Safety, and Human Resources)
Environment and Physical Requirements:

The majority of the work week will be in office with travel by automobile as needed.

Duties to include administrative functions using the phone, computer and communicating with people.

This job will require lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day, perform keyboard operations a minimum of 6 hours per day, and must be able to stand and climb stairs as required.

There will be bending of the waist, wrist and shoulders.

Position will be exposed to heavy duty tractor/trailer diesel fumes, dust and noise.
