Resource Manager (Operations PM)- remote location

As an Operations Project Manager (Resource Manager) for Clarivate Consulting Services, you will manage the assignments for 75 consultants within a larger professional services team in a dynamic, fast-paced strategic consulting business organization.

Working as an individual contributor on a team of Resource Managers, you will be responsible for a region and/or practice area, serving as a strategic partner to assist the Consulting business organization to achieve our goals/ objectives.

You will be able to strike a balance between keeping our consultants satisfied while also achieving the allocation and utilization goals of the organization.

This includes advising on resource management processes, tools, and techniques, and manage change as needed.

You will identify resource capacity and identify mitigation strategies for resource gaps/ surplus and be able to identify areas to build talent for current and future needs.

You will be responsible for reviewing, approving, and/or denying resource allocations for specific project work, and coordinating resource availability and scheduled amongst a shared resource pool.

Additionally, you will assist the Director of Resource Management in defining performance assessment models to measure the functioning of the Resource Management group.

Responsibilities: Assign consulting staff to client engagements, which includes: assessing the project needs, reviewing available resources and options, and recommending team members that meet the requirements Prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement and specialization requirements, timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations Review actual and projected resource utilization for projects.

Anticipate availability of team members and proactively decrease the time that people spend unassigned, while balancing the workload of all client-serving individuals Monitor unassigned staff, act as primary point of contact for unassigned staff and proactively identify assignments for these individuals Regularly communicate any changes in personnel on projects, as well as any performance concerns raised by engagement teams Recognize others depend on the Operations Project Manager (Resource Manager) role and set expectations and provide status updates Identify over
– and under-utilized team members and bring in additional resources to balance their workload with their peers Communicate and develop relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels Manage flex resource pool, identifying new sources for resources when necessary Maintain a repository of individuals skills and match individual preferences and development needs with appropriate client engagements Learn/understand data flows and reports in technical tools Manipulate and analyze data, create charts, etc.

a certain consultant is not available) and managing conflict Able to push back on requests that are not feasible or not in the best interest of the firm Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is preferred 3 to 5 years experience, with a strong preference for experience in a project-based work environment (i.e.

professional services) Strong interpersonal skills
