Purpose Of the Role
The Talent Acquisition team is accountable for the execution of recruiting activities. The Recruiting Specialist role requires hands-on recruitment experience, the ability to collaborate, and will be responsible for delivering against EMR USA’s overall talent strategy. Our ideal candidate will have experience building strong relationships with stakeholders, delivering above and beyond results, while simultaneously providing excellent hiring manager & candidate experiences. What You’ll Do
- Responsible for end-to-end recruiting and consultation—including research, building robust pipelines for critical skills, sourcing, candidate assessment, interview and offer management, collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions, and hiring criteria.
- Serve as an advisor and subject matter expert on EMR USA’s recruiting process, best practices, and market knowledge.
- Identify and execute efficient and effective recruiting sources and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of EMR USA.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand business objectives to provide external insights on the talent market (i.e., industry standards, demographic trends, employment projections).
- Achieve positive outcomes and business KPIs; partner with internal teams (local and global) on identifying and executing operational efficiencies.
- Identify and implement innovative sourcing strategies for key roles that result in quality talent pipelines to meet workforce needs now and in the future.
- Promote opportunities (social media, community relations, college and high schools, trade schools, events, etc.), to attract and source top talent while simultaneously promoting EMR USA’s recruitment/employment brand The EMR Way and Guiding Principles.
- Source, screen and select qualified candidates for submission to hiring managers, schedule and conduct interviews, oversee interview preparation i.e., interview questions and, other hiring and selection materials, and facilitate the interview process.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and Human Resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Maintain ongoing communication with hiring managers and Human Resources to identify internal EMR USA high potentials for growth opportunities.
- Enter and maintain accurate and timely position and candidate data in EMR USA’s applicant tracking system (ATS), as well as ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
What Qualifications You’ll Bring To The Team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, advising and negotiation.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Preferably, bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient in or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems; experience with Ceridian ATS preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
What Requirements You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Five (5) + recruiting experience in a corporate recruiting environment and/or recruitment search firm
- Experience recruiting for hourly, non-exempt and or labor-based roles considered a plus
Additional Relevant Information
Work is generally performed in a traditional office environment at our EMR USA United States headquarters in Camden, New Jersey. Touring our scrap metal recycling facilities will be required. Working hours may vary and early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required. Attendance at events offsite will be required. You may be required to lift and carry light weights. This is an on-site position, with the potential for 1 day a week telework, pending successful completion of your introductory period.
