HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALISTJOB SUMMARY**This is a second shift position.

**Administer human resources policies and programs, balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs.

Promote equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Provide comprehensive HR support, directly or indirectly to a designated client group in the area of recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, pro-active issue/problem identification and resolution, and coaching and development for more effective leadership decision and communication skills.

Understand and support the accomplishment of business priorities.

Build credible relationships with Business Leaders allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibilityEffectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and proceduresPerform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requestsConduct employee related investigations as necessaryHandle workers compensation, first report of injury database and safety regulations processCoordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including Transitional Work Program and Accommodations ProcessConduct health and welfare benefits open enrollment meetings and employee meetings to update or roll out other benefits related programs as neededConduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discriminationEnsure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS databaseEnsure timely and accurate payroll entry for designated client groupPerform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification, commission reports and payroll informationMaintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirementsOn an as needed basis, participate on various HR committees established to resolve employment challengesAssist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reportsAssist in the annual budget planning process as neededMay recruit and staff from internal and external sourcesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/Abilities and KnowledgePrior experience in employee relationsKnowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and proceduresKnowledge of state and federal wage and hour lawsKnowledge of staffing and employment practicesKnowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable lawConsultative and coaching skillsAnalytical skillsAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to communicate with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to deal with the public in a professional mannerAbility to maintain confidentiality of informationAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureStrong PC skills and MS Office skillsAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a timely mannerKnowledge of cable television products and services a plusEducationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experienceRelated Work Experience2+ years experienceCertifications and/or LicensesCertifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferredValid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record within company required standards preferredWORKING CONDITIONSOffice EnvironmentTravel Required
