(Sr.) HR Business Partner

PJM Interconnection, L.L.C.

This is a Contract position in Audubon, PA posted October 1, 2020.

The (Sr.) HR Business Partner will provide daily general HR support to defined client groups.

Business Partner support will include coaching, consulting, employee relations, organizational effectiveness and development, performance management, recruiting/staffing and front line support for compensation and benefits (Total Rewards) questions.

Because of COVID-19 this position will be temporarily working from home until a return to campus plan is finalized.

It is anticipated that most, if not all employees, will return to campus by the end of 2020.

When normal routine is resumed, this position is expected to operate on-site.

(Sr.) HR Business Partner will be the single point of contact for defined client groups and will partner with the People Services Center and the Total Rewards Center to deliver customer focused proactive solutions and problem solving.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Functions: Acts as HR single point of contact and strategic business partner for assigned client groups.

Consults with management on business and performance needs.

Partners with People Services Center and Total Rewards Center on an as needed basis to perform human resources functions for defined client groups.

Serves as an advocate for the employee, management, and the Company by being available to meet with employees to address concerns, explain HR policies/practices, and mediate differences between employees, leads and managers.

Provides advice and counsel in the use of corrective actions to address job performance and other behavioral issues.

Demonstrates ability to effectively interface with external and internal legal entities to resolve employee disputes and concerns.

Provides counsel and fosters a partnership with hiring managers to secure the best talent for PJM.

Advocates for the recruitment, development and promotions of diverse employees.

Ensures that all leadership development and succession planning practices have as a key component the identification, advancement, and sponsorship of diverse employees at all levels of PJM.

Supports the competency development process at PJM
– working with Korn Ferry and various vendors Partners with training resources to ensure appropriate employee and leadership development and planning.

Makes decisions and takes actions to recommend changes to HR practices and policies.

Monitors trends in employee relations, learning and recruiting.

Participates in developing processes for assessing organizational strengths and susceptibilities and for recommending organizational solutions.

Partners in the development of leaders/teams through organization-wide change interventions.

Partners with management to identify performance needs and design interventions to close gaps.

Partners with Total Rewards Center to implement and execute compensation and benefit strategies.

Provides counseling and coaching to all levels of the organization to ensure Diversity and Work/Life initiatives are effectively integrated with strategic business objectives.

Responsible for assigned department and company-wide projects.

Serves in a lead role in executing organization-wide initiatives.

Serves in a project management role capacity for employee survey, intern program and other key initiatives.

Characteristics and Qualifications: Required: BA degree in HR , Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, Business Management or equivalent work experience At least 5-10 years of experience in at least 4 areas: change management, diversity & inclusion, employee relations, internal consulting, leadership development, operational metrics, operational human resources, recruiting & talent acquisition and workforce planning.

Certifications in one or more of the following: Korn Ferry 360 feedback, Strength Finders, DiSC, Hogan inventory.

Good listening skills (actively and with intent) Strong communications skills (written and verbal) Presentation skills (in small groups or large meetings) Belief in advocating and coaching employees first Preferred: Advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred
