Sr. Human Resource Coordinator

The Sr. Human Resources Assistant performs various human resource duties by assisting and supporting recruiting, onboarding processes, benefits administration, and additional administrative human resources tasks. This position will also be responsible for providing general guidance to employees regarding human resources policies and procedures while managing administrative projects and management approvals.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and collect all required documents to support onboarding, new hire orientation, and terminations following internal controls and policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in enrolling new hires in their benefits and assist during annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinates hiring processes utilizing Paylocity applicant tracking system; posting jobs, schedule interviews, creates offer letters, and runs background and employment checks.
  • Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained and properly secured.
  • Process and track Workers’ Compensation claims; communicating with employees, insurance company, and managers to ensure all are up to date on progress and return to work dates.
  • Provide administrative support for FMLA and Workers’ Compensation leaves, ensuring timely communication to all parties.
  • Work with VP, Human Resources on annual performance review/merit increase activities, including administrative and communication tasks.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to all 3 Plant HR Partners in TX, SC, and MI.
  • Processes standard reports from a variety of systems as directed.
  • Maintain organization charts.
  • Routinely handle communications of a highly sensitive and confidential nature and ensure security by developing and maintaining necessary measures and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Associates Degree with a concentration in Human Resource related program strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years previous experience working in Human Resources department
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all communication and work performed
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in using HRIS and ATS systems; Paylocity strongly preferred
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
