Staff Recruiter

Youth Villages

Youth Villages has been a national leader in the implementation of research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children’s mental and behavioral health. Our commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success spans 30+ years and includes a comprehensive array of programs and services. 

We are seeking an individual with recruitment experience to join our Recruiting Team. Finding top talent to join our growing organization plays a vital role in the success of Youth Villages. We are hiring a recruiter to work with the existing team to manage resumes and applications for various states.  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers across the region to help ensure that the best and most qualified staff are selected for all positions
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with all leadership to establish goals, forecast future openings, and build proactive strategies
  • Act as a consultant to meet current hiring needs and build a candidate pipeline for future openings
  • Problem-solve with managers as well as evaluate and make recommendations for ways to improve the hiring and onboarding processes
  • Influence hiring managers during the hiring process to ensure the hiring of quality candidates
  • Identify potential/existing problems within a program or with specific hiring managers and work to create and implement solutions
  • Have a thorough understanding of each program and the jobs within the program
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including rural locations and/or stringent education and experience requirements, for active and passive candidates for a variety of positions
  • Increase Youth Villages’ ability to serve children and families by finding and selecting the highest quality staff and building a talent pool of qualified applicants.
  • Cultivate relationships within professional and community organizations to help increase awareness of Youth Villages’ services and opportunities
  • Experience networking with other professionals to develop leads 
  • Support with sourcing, talent attraction, and college recruiting efforts as needed

Requisition Management

  • Follow Internal and External Recruitment Processes and Policies
  • Open and close jobs in ATS
  • Manage multiple high priority jobs simultaneously

Screen resumes in ATS

  • Become an expert on the qualities sought in candidates for your region both on paper and in interviewing candidates for specific roles
  • Knowledgeable of other social service providers/competitors in their region and remain up-to-date with changes in those organizations, which could impact YV’s ability to recruit qualified candidates in each community
  • Recruiters will phone screen candidates for open positions with targeted goals of the number of candidates to submit to managers weekly

Additional Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate interview events, open houses, etc.
  • Assist in training leadership staff on interview and selection training
  • Assist in interviewing and selection of staff as needed
  • Assist in OnBoarding process as needed
  • Writing job descriptions
  • Meet weekly with managers to establish goals, forecast future openings, and build proactive strategies
  • Recruiter will problem solve with managers as well as evaluate and make recommendations for ways to improve the hiring process
  • Participate in team committees

Regional travel including overnights may be required up to 50%

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

This position is seeking a candidate who is committed to the mission and values of Youth Villages. A solid understanding of the recruitment process, including sourcing, is required. A successful individual in this role will have experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing recruitment environment.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree is required

Recruiting experience is required

Strong critical thinking and conceptualization skills

Applicants must have Interviewing Experience

Strong customer service experience handling difficult situations

Strong organizational and time management skills – ability to manage shifting priorities on a daily or weekly basis

Willingness to do high volume interviewing, primarily by phone

Experienced problem solver
