This is a Contract position in Long Branch, NJ posted October 28, 2020.

Staffing Manager

Job Information: DIRECT HIRE. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (requires on site work, no remote/virtual). Located in central Monmouth County, NJ. Paying $65K – $80K. Excellent benefits.

Staffing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manages multi-State, unskilled general labor recruiting. Upwards of 10 – 40 job openings at any given time. 11 regional sites (typically these sites are construction trailers or temporary buildings located on active construction sites)
  • Oversees scheduling of in-person interview between applicants and hiring managers in the field.
  • Scheduled two orientations per week (each 2 days long) with “trainers” in the field.
  • Champions company and sells the brand to increase applicant interest.
  • Understands job market and candidate pool differences between States/ regional sites and develops attractive advertisements to reach targets.
  • Meets priorities, never goes beyond a deadline and maintains a high degree of professionalism.
  • Maintains an active pulse with hiring managers and drives recruiting progress to meet manpower and project demands.
  • Interreacts with each and every applicant to determine viability and scope of candidacy
  • Oversees and manages employee’s, orientations, prepares materials, including benefits, offer letters, drug testing forms, etc.
  • Manage recruiting team of two subordinates – one on NJ one in PA.
  • Isn’t afraid of cold-calling and displays interest in talking to every person
  • Utilize latest technology to identify new candidates and build relationships in order to maintain a talent pool of candidates
  • Uses technology and metrics to measure progress, shortfalls and leverages information to improve sourcing.

Staffing Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration required.
  • Must have high volume, multi-State light industrial or unskilled labor recruiting.
  • Wizz with MS Office products such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to enjoy a fast paced environment filled with highs and lows of new hires to new openings, to declined offers, etc. on a day to day basis.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Requires occasional day travel and limited virtual / remote work.
