This role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

This role will be responsible for various human resources and employee safety management and reporting tasks.This position is expected to work shifts from Monday through Friday beginning at 615am.

Evening and weekend work may be needed for special projects and assignments.This is a salaried-exempt position with compensation, commensurate with experience, approximately $50,000/year.Candidates must be bilingual (Spanish).Job ResponsibilitiesIn partnership with the Director of Human Resources, oversee the HR responsibilities and functions of the field operations employees in the Charlotte, NC officeDirect and provide information to field employees as neededConsult on field employee relations issues and escalate matters to the Director of Human Resources as neededWork with field management staff on HR-related topics, including but not related to, performance management, coaching, training and other needs as they ariseIn partnership with the Benefits/Payroll Specialist, ensure benefits and payroll items for the Charlotte office are processed effectively and efficientlyAssist with recruiting functions for the Charlotte office, including but not limited to, scheduling/conducting interviews, posting recruitment advertisements, and onboarding new hiresConduct initial orientation for new employeesOversee administration of company uniforms and required personal protective equipment for all locationsProvide data entry and administrative supportManage workers compensation claims and supporting documentation throughout the entire claim life cyclePerform suitable investigations for all accidents/injuries with field management staffWork with Director of Human Resources to promote safety culture throughout the organization through training initiatives, risk assessments, safety engagements and ongoing communicationManage documentation in accordance with company records and retention policiesServe as communication liaison for Spanish-speaking employee populationEnsure compliance will all applicable laws/regulations, particularly those required for field operations (OSHA, DOT, for example)Administer post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug testing programsServe as point of contact for the company for HR matters in the absence of the Director of Human ResourcesDisclaimerThe noted responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list as additional duties may be required as determined by the applicable department leader.EEO/M/F/D/VThis company participates in E-Verify where applicable.PM20.Requirements:Physical RequirementsPerform physical activity such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching in an office environmentUtilize key equipment found in a typical office environment (computer, copier, filing systems, etc.)Subject to repetitive motions/ergonomicsSubject to typical exposures in a warehouse/construction environment including, but not limited to, loud noises, construction equipment, fumes, and heat/cold (indoor/outdoor exposure).Education/Experience/SkillsCollege degree in business or human resources management and/or at least two (2) to three (3) plus years’ experience in a human resources capacity perferred.Previous work experience in a fast-paced, high demand environment.Base knowledge of key HR conceptsExcellent communication skills both written and verbal.Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.Excellent interpersonal skills.Must be flexible in work assignments.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
