Army full-time THIS JOB REQUIRES ENLISTING/JOINING THE U.S. ARMYBy enlisting into the Army as an Air Traffic Controller and Operations Specialist, you become a part of a team of Soldiers. Job Duties:Aviation Operations Specialist:Process local and cross-country flight clearances; check accuracy of flight plans and coordinate them; maintain flight logs onincoming/outgoing flights and individual flight records; alert crash crews of emergencies; interpret and post weather reportsAir Traffic Control Operator:Control airborne and ground traffic; assist in the installation/relocation of tactical air traffic control facilities; process flight plan data and maintain logs, records, files and tape recordings of voice communicationsAttend Basic and Advanced Training (paid) Basic Qualifications:Age 17 to 34 years oldEducation Current Senior in High School(HS), HS Diploma, GED, GED equivalent, or higher education level completedCitizenship U.S. Citizen/Permanent ResidentSubmit to background and medical screeningReceive a passing score on the ASVAB Training:Attend 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 8 to 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field under simulated combat conditions.
