USAA: Policy And Performance Underwriter Lead (P&C Staff Underwriting)

Purpose of Job We are currently seeking a talented Policy and Performance Underwriter Lead (P& C Staff Underwriting) tosupport Underwriting Modernization for the San Antonio Home Office I, Colorado Springs Campus, Phoenix Campus, Tampa Campus, Tampa Crosstown, Chesapeake, or 100% Remote Work Environment.

This individual will support development of Property Lines Underwriting Strategy, including implementation of necessary technology to support the strategy, as part of P& C Modernization efforts.Develops, implements, and maintains P& C Underwriting policies and processes to achieve enterprise priorities, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Partners with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain P& C Underwriting policies and products.

Participates in the development and implementation of team initiatives.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.

8 or more years Experience in P& C, Project Management, Process Engineering, Supplier Management, or Channel Management Expert knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and regulatory requirements Expert knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access; Data Analysis Tools; and any other applicable Internal/External System Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level When you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions.

Experience with project management and work breakdown structures Experience with technology implementations, specifically for underwriting organizations Strong ability to present analysis/findings in a manner that conveys understanding, influences various levels of management, garners support for recommendations, and influences business strategy.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $88,200.00 $158,900.00.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Geographical Differential : Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
