As Vice President Human Resources, this candidate will develop, implement, monitor, and advance internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs in all aspects of Human Resources.
As SNC’s corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure excellence in all HR domains, including total rewards, talent acquisition, learning and development, ID&E, talent management, and human resources business partners
- Identify and establish meaningful HR goals, initiatives, data analytics, and KPI’s to provide partnership and insight to our business leaders, measure progress, and identify areas of opportunity and growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establishing long-range human resource strategies and practices to meet our specific business objectives surrounding growth and human capital needs and ensure our business processes comply with regulatory and legal requirements to minimize risk to the organization
- Lead efforts in performance management, talent spotting, and career development
- Promote a culture of compliance, integrity, and ID&E across the organization and guide the activities of the company in complying with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedure
- Lead by example in setting and maintaining standards of behavior, work ethic and values
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field of study
- Demonstrated expertise in the deployment of human capital in a fast -growing enterprise with multi-site operations including the following:
- Proven record of successfully driving human resources activities and goals in support of continuous growth and advancement;
- Proven ability to establish and lead the HR organization as a strategic and tactical resource for company executives, department managers and supervisors in coordinating HR initiatives, programs, procedures, and policies; and
- Demonstrated skill in building scalable HR programs, capable of growing with the organization
- Thorough knowledge of and direct experience with development of competitive Total Rewards, effective recruitment, learning and development, and retention and talent management programs and initiatives and the expertise to develop, plan, and manage department budgets
- Proven assessment and problem solving skills, with ability to add value and increase organizational effectiveness, efficiency and profitability through the alignment of human assets to contain costs and improve financial performance
- Superior organizational skills with an excellent acumen for strategic planning of human resource initiatives utilizing data analytics and metrics to drive progress and measure results
- Experience successfully managing employee and compliance risk and having a strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Working knowledge and expertise in executive compensation issues and strategies
- Previous management experience; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
- Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire a team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
- Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to varying audiences
- Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decision
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
- Typically 15-20 years of relevant managerial experience; 12+ years demonstrated experience in one or more Human Resources functions
- Active SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR/GPHR Certification
- Skills in assessing external competition by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration
- Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose
- Proven long-term and strategic perspective that extends beyond the immediate initiatives; visualizes and articulates a clear direction
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets

This position would be based in Sparks, Nevada or in Englewood, Colorado. There is a highly attractive package on offer for the preferred candidate that will include base salary, annual cash bonus, and a long-term incentive plan.
Estimated starting salary: $257,304.88 – $321,631.10
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
