Job TitleWorkday Payroll Operations ManagerPosition OverviewThis managerial position operates under the general direction of the Director of Payroll Services and manages the US payroll support team including time-keeping and payroll processing.

The person must possess extensive broad knowledge of all aspects of time and attendance and payroll systems.

The position will be responsible for ensuring payroll technology processes are advanced as well as maintaining system documentation.Job Responsibilities:Manages the day-to-day time-keeping and payroll processes.Supports the company’s leadership values and encourages a positive working relationship within the Payroll department and with other departments of the company.Plans, coordinates and manages the activities of the functional payroll support staff.Responsible for all aspects of the time and attendance system functions to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all payroll transactions, auditing and reporting.Establishes and oversees auditing procedures to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of payroll records, and efficiency of operations.Ensures compliance with legal requirements, company policies and procedures.Evaluates and recommends changes in methods and procedures related to the time and attendance payroll function in order to ensure efficiency of operations.Responsible for payroll system support in order to ensure data integrity, security and accuracy.Develops and maintains departmental procedures and system test methods.Job Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesJob Knowledge:Strong knowledge of fundamentals of payroll administration and lawSystem testing and methodologyKnowledge of Google/Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)Time and Attendance SystemsWorkday HRMSSkills:Managerial and supervisory skillsProject Management skillsAnalytical skills with ability to apply critical thinkingStrong mathematical skills and high level of accuracyWord processing and spreadsheet skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbilities:Ability to prioritize, delegate and take initiativeAbility to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are metAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to maintain effective working relationships within all levels of the organizationAbility to maintain confidentialityCompetencies: Demonstrate good judgment by evaluation problems/opportunities based on available data and develop solutionsInnovate by creating novel solutions and experiment with new ways to solve work problemsCoach and support team members by developing an action plan that targets specific behaviors, skills or knowledge to ensure performance or prepare for successRequirements:Bachelor’s degree5 years payroll experience in a managerial roleCPP preferredWork Shift8 hour, day shiftShaw is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
