This is a Full-time position in Southbridge Town, MA posted March 3, 2021.

YOU, Inc’s Southbridge Family Resource Center (FRC) is a community-based, culturally-responsive program that will provide information, referral to services, and support in various areas to families seeking help.

We are currently searching for a talented and professional Family Partner in the Southbridge, MA area to support and coach parents on navigating through the children’s mental health system in our Community Based Services Component.

This position requires experience as a parent of a special needs child or child with SED.

Responsibilities: Have a structured, strength-based relationship with a parent/caregiver utilizing your own lived experience.

Guide and coach the caregiver to be connected with community resources and develop strategies and skills to help navigate child-serving systems to better address the youth’s emotional and behavioral needs.

Assist individuals or families in learning and practicing self-advocacy.

Work collaboratively with the clinician, school liaison, and any other support system to meet the needs of the families that come to the FRC.

Attends court as needed to support families.

Co-facilitate parent and youth groups.

Completes daily progress notes, treatment goals and other required documentation, including data entry, in a timely manner.

Other duties as defined by agency and/or leadership team.Qualifications: Must have experience helping to raise a child with social, emotional, mental health, or substance abuse concerns and have experience navigating the myriad of youth services required.

The candidate will have knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources in the Southbridge/Webster community.

2-3 years of related experience.

Must possess good organizational skills, effective written, verbal and computer skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving ability.
